Before joining the YBS Group I was working part time in the accounts area of a Ltd Company after studying maths, further maths and finance at sixth form college.
I'm currently a Mortgage Qualifier within our Contact Centre Sales Department and on a day to day basis deal with new and existing customers and make sure that they are eligible for a mortgage. This also sees me answers a variety of mortgage related questions and ensure that customers are directed to the right department in order to get the best possible service.
Through YBS I've attended in-house training which lasted 9 weeks, which was a mixture of self-earning and in the classroom before starting in a development academy area – all designed to improve my skills.
Through our training provider I'm also learning elements linked to our financial qualifications and meet once a month to be assessed and learn about the various subjects. I'm also visited by an assessor who meets me and my manager to track my progress and to set me actions for the month ahead.
I feel YBS has provided me with a great opportunity to get my foot in the door of a financial service provider and believe that I have a great opportunity to grow my skills and get to where I want to be and progress within the organisation. I have really enjoyed my time so far working here.
