Apprentice Finance Operations Administrator (Bradford)

So you love Business Studies and Accountancy? This is a great opportunity for individuals to join our Finance Team.

This team is split into six areas: Banking Customer Services, Banking Control, Accounts Customer Services, Accounts Control, Key Controls and Training and Quality Assurance.  What’s great about working in this team is that you will work in each of the Customer Services and Control teams (4 different teams in total) over the 2 year period of your Apprenticeship. You’ll start in either Banking Customer Services or Accounts Customer Services and progress to Banking Control or Accounts Control as your experience develops.

During your time in the Customer Services areas, you can expect to be involved in undertaking various administrative and processing activities to support the running of the department accurately and within agreed service levels.  This will include dealing with different queries via telephone, email and letter, processing a variety of different banking and cheque transactions, writing customer letters, matching invoices to purchase orders, checking colleague expenses claims, processing payments and raising invoices.

Following on from this, you’ll progress to the more complex areas of work, which will include Bank Account reconciliations, General Ledger reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments and other month end processes.

This apprenticeship will see you completing the brand new Professional Accounting Taxation Technician level 4 Apprenticeship.

Apprentice Relationship Manager (Leeds / Bradford)

If you’ve got great communications skills and love working with people then this role could be perfect for you. You’ll get development in how to build relationships effectively both within YBS and our external customers / suppliers and gain real customer insight that helps us develop our range of products and services. With a real eye for detail, this role will also see you focus on financial forecasting and planning to ensure that you meet any budget and deadline requirements.

In this role you’ll spend time working in our Insurance & Investments and the YBS Share Plans departments, which means working in both our Leeds and Bradford sites.

This apprenticeship will see you completing the brand new Relationship Manager (Banking) level 6 Apprenticeship enabling you to reach the same level as a graduate. This apprenticeship takes 4 years to complete.

Apprentice Project Manager (Leeds)

Planning and organisation are key to this role. It’s about getting all the right people together, working through all of the requirements and meeting deadlines. So if you have great communication skills and have the ability to getting people working together – this role could be right up your street.

As an Apprentice Project Manager you’ll learn and develop towards gaining full responsibility for the management and delivery of assigned projects throughout the Group. These projects are likely to be complex; spanning multiple business areas and potentially involving other companies and suppliers to deliver change into and across the business.

You’ll need high standards of work to ensure that quality levels are maintained and be good at time management to meet all your deadlines whilst keeping an eye on the budget to make sure that you meet the cost target.

This role could see you make a real difference to how we do things here at YBSG.

This apprenticeship will see you completing the brand new Associate Project Manager level 4 Apprenticeship.

Apprentice HR Administrator (Bradford)

Our Apprentice HR Administrator position offers you an excellent introduction to Human Resources and the Group’s HR functions.  Learning about the range of colleague-related tasks allows you the opportunity to decide where in our team you’ll make the most of your skills.  Alternatively, our roles provide the strong foundation that may enable you to progress your career within our broader People Division, or explore other service delivery roles within the Group.

Apprentice HR Assistant (Leeds)

Our people are at the heart of what we do – because the better we are, the better our services will be.  We are looking for talented individuals who are committed to offering an exceptional people service.

We are looking for people who love people. HR Assistants are often the first point of contact for queries into our People Division.  They provide specialist HR skills, knowledge and expertise to deliver HR services and people-related administration.

Throughout this apprenticeship, you’ll get the opportunity to work with a number of People Departments and get involved in things like Projects, Performance Management, Strategic and Workforce Planning and aspects of Organisational Development. This will give you a greater understanding of the HR role and also give greater insight into what an HR function does.
